ACTRA is proud to announce Sharon Bajer as the inaugural recipient of the ACTRA Visionary Award. Formerly the ACTRA National Woman of the Year Award, this honour recognizes a cis woman, trans woman or non-binary person of notable acting presence who has made significant contributions to advancing gender equity and diversity within ACTRA, the recorded media industry, and society.  

Sharon Bajer’s distinguished career spans across acting, playwriting, directing, teaching, and advocating for safer, more inclusive work environments. She has earned widespread recognition for her groundbreaking work as Winnipeg's first Intimacy Coordinator, as well as for her leadership as Past President of ACTRA Manitoba.
